Vice President / Director – Private Banking

Role and Responsibility

  • Formulate and implement business development strategy to acquire and develop relationships with High Networth Individuals
  • Identify, develop, establish and maintain relationships with select new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain internal and external networks and partnerships to and create and acquire pipeline of quality HNWIs.
  • Own business plan, deliver AUM, revenue, P&L and other targets for self and team.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, credibility, integrity, knowledge and understanding to win trust and loyalty of HNWIs.
  • Provide informative advice on traditional and new Investment Products - such mutual funds, equities, bonds, deposits, fixed income, Bancassurance, as well as new alternative asset classes, such as art and real estate.
  • Proactively partner with Product Specialists, Service and Operations teams to identify opportunities for client acquisition, increasing share of wallet and building client satisfaction.
  • Work with Investment Advisory to apply client risk profiling tools and process to provide high quality, tailor-made wealth solutions, which take account of Investment Horizon, objectivity analysis, Risk appetite and current Investment Experience.
  • Understand and define client’s asset allocation strategy based on the client profile, suggested Asset Allocation model using principles of diversification, risk sensitivity and liquidity requirements.
  • Work with Investment Advisory to understand and select assets to be invested in.
  • Consistently review client portfolio against objectives, and work with Product Specialists and Investment Advisory to rebalance, if required due to change in client objectives, performance of executed strategies.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Products and Markets, in relation to requirements of potential and existing clients.
  • Understand, communicate, network and deal with people with diverse interests and backgrounds, and assist them in making sound investment decisions.
  • Understand market, regulations, banking and investment processes and instruments.
  • Demonstrate initiative and enterprise to identify and build new propositions, solutions and added value services to engage and maintain client relationship.
  • Self-motivated to engage colleagues, team and partners towards constant innovation, improvement (for example product, service, investment process, added value service) resulting in enhanced client experience, satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability.

Qualifications

  • 10 years plus in business development / relationship management role within “HNWI” segment in Private Banking or high end private client group in Wealth Management.
  • MBA
  • AMFI qualified to give advice.
